Meat Tenderizers

Don Urquhart

Constructed from Hickory, Eastern maple and Garry oak.  The hickory and Garry oak are from the VIWG Wood Recovery.  The finish is pure Tung oil.



Trivet-Cutting Board

Constructed from Sapele, Black Walnut and Eastern Maple. The finished is walnut oil.



Sushi Boards

The lighter one is made from rift-cut white oak, the darker from Indian rosewood. The finish is a shopmade cocktail of beeswax and mineral oil.



Segmented Celtic Knot Rolling Pin

Brain McLaurin

Constructed of black walnut, Guild Garry oak, light walnut from the Fraser Valley and local Ladysmith dogwood, dimensions 17 ¾” long x 2 5/16” diameter. The finish is four coats of Tried & True Danish oil

Salt and Pepper Mills with Banana Hook

Don Gray

Salt & Pepper Mill’s ,Holly and Walnut, Banana hook Walnut and Maple , all local woods. Both finished with Polyurethane.  



Kitchen Canisters

All from Wood Guild lumber — Garry oak, London plane, arbutus and paulinia.  The inlays are poplar, bloodwood, padauk, purple heart and amerillo set into holly ellipses, each set in to thin slices of each box wood.  The lids have inset grips so the boxes could stack.  The finish is shellac, resulting in a yellowish colour

Knife Block

The knife block fits into a drawer, or it can stay on the counter top.The wood is maple from the Mid Island woodworkers Guild. It measure 14 1/4 in long by 6 in wide.



Kitchen Spoon

A simple kitchen spoon, about 12 inches long. Made of cherry finished in mineral oil.
