Virtual Woodshow
The Vancouver Island Woodworkers Guild has periodically organized wood exhibitions and sales to provide members with an opportunity to display and sell their items to the public. These non-juried shows are intended to promote local woodworking craft, materials and design to the general public. An additional objective is to promote the Guild as a local not-for-profit organization.
The most recent Shows in 2013, 2015 and 2018 were held in the beautiful spacious Gallery at Cedar Hill Recreation Centre. The 2020 edition of Visions in Wood was scheduled for the same venue but, on April 1, The Arts Centre at Cedar Hill formally advised us that our reservation for their Gallery, which was scheduled to open on April 22nd, would have to be postponed due to Covid-19.
Depending upon how the current situation evolves, they will try to re-schedule our Show for sometime this fall. If that is not feasible, they will endeavour to move our reservation to a year from now, April 2021.
